Aishwarya Rai was graced with the crown of Miss World 1994 title in the Sun City of South Africa.

Ash started her modeling assignment with Camlin Industries her modeling assignment with Camlin Industries, when she was in Ninth standard. Her professor as well as her photographer, who did a photo shoot was her biggest support. After that photo shoot she came in light and after that she did not need to look back. She came into lime-light with her advertisement like Pepsi and Garden Sari.

In the second year of architecture, she went to participate in Miss India contest. In that contest she stood second. She became the first runner up in that contest, and so her dream to go for Miss Universe was scattered. But this young girl did not lose her mind and went for Miss World peagent. Sun City, my first visit to this exotic location in young, free South Africa, Dawned a new chapter in her life. She was asked what qualities the Miss World 1994 should embody. She replied, "The Miss Worlds that they must have compassion for the under privileged and not only to the people who have to look beyond the barriers that man has set for ourselves of nationality and colour. That would make a true person, real person."

Her winning at beauty pageants comes as no surprise, because beauty that glorious has a way of conquering the world. And eventually she did conquer the world, by claiming the 'Miss World title' in South Africa. After being crowned. Aishwarya Rai Miss World 1994, she spoke of dream for peace for his world, and her desire to be an ambassador of peace during her one-year reign.

And with the title media calls, fashion shoots, interviews and the beginning of a whirlwind lifestyle had begun. She had travelled the whole world and each country had given her some very special, unique and memorable memories in her life.

Aishwarya Rai Miss World 1994 title opened doors to many opportunities, but it has also given her tremendous confidence as it has brought her closer to herself. This has given her a clearer perspective, as to look upon life as a world-person, and I am glad to be part of the family, created solely by an experience like the Miss World contest.

Would Aishwarya be able to deliver emotion, dialogues and dance with the same élan? But eventually the girl with a Million-dollar face combined with a strong personality and intelligence conquered bollywood.
